Glickman Design Build was a proud sponsor of Dine to Defeat ALS—a night benefitting the ALS Association DC/MD/VA Chapter. The event, held at the Grand Hyatt Washington on Tuesday, June 9th, included a silent auction, dinner and short program. The DC/MD/VA Chapter was founded in 1991 to serve the needs of those living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and their caregivers. The ALS Association is the only national not-for-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS. The ALS Association covers all the bases — research, patient and community services, public education, and advocacy — in providing help and hope to those facing the disease.
Glickman Design Build team members, Russ Glickman and Karen Pearl Benitez-Berglund were attendees at the event. A Glickman Design Build project was highlighted on the back cover of the program. It was designed and built for a gentleman with ALS. The project won a 2015 Chrysalis national award for universal design.
