Our Screened Porch Home Addition Wins an Award

Potomac Life Magazine: “Glickman/Design Build of Rockville won an award for [this project] under the category ‘Best Exterior Remodeling Under $100,000.’ ”

Gazette Newspaper; Real Estate: “Glickman Design/Build in Rockville won an award for this screened porch and elevated deck in Potomac from the Montgomery County Builder’s Association under the category ‘Best Exterior Remodeling Under $100,000.’”

The owners wanted to enlarge their sunroom, add a screened porch, and construct a sundeck. The project would have cost them $100,000. However, with a budget of $50,000 Glickman condensed the original idea of a sunroom and a screened porch into a spacious, functional screened porch that can be used nine months out of the year.

Glickman worked with the owners to accomplish their design goals and maintain the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the space. Recessed lighting, vaulted ceilings, diagonal deck flooring, arched screened windows, skylights, a new multi-level sun deck with a stone path that led to the swimming pool, hot tub, and gazebo with a small pond and waterfall. French doors off the kitchen opened onto the deck. All of these features adorned the beautiful and purposeful new space.
