Quick Facts

Russ Glickman was recently named one of the Top 50 Remodelers in the nation by Remodeling Magazine. Each year since 1986, the Remodeling Big50 inducts 50 owners of remodeling companies that have set exceptionally high standards for professionalism and integrity through exemplary business practices, craftsmanship, and impact in their community or the industry at large.

Glickman Design Build’s expertise and reputation for building beautiful and highly-functioning homes in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Montgomery County, Maryland spans over 33 years.

Recent surveys indicate that most baby boomers who own homes want to remodel primarily to meet current needs. Boomers tend to see themselves as never “aging.” Due to this fact, they are not very excited about investing heavily on certain features which they think they will never need. However, savvy owners realize the population shift will create an ever increasing demand for housing options which are currently unavailable. If one’s current needs can be met while positioning for the population’s future needs, that is a recipe for a wise investment in one’s home.

We are one of a small number of firms in the United States specializing in building and remodeling homes not only to make them beautiful, but also to make them user friendly or more accommodating for a wider range of needs. We call it “Better Living Design.” Everything we do is personalized, custom planned and built for your current and the future anticipated needs of yourself or others. We employ the best strategies to meet your current needs while maximizing your resale value. We also minimize waste. Sustainable designs include not only “green” features but also features which will reduce future waste by eliminating the need to “re-remodel” in the future should you plan to stay or sell. We have special expertise in Universal Design and Design to accommodate less abled family members or visitors and allow your home to be “visitable”. The portion of the population who need more accommodating spaces is the fastest growing segment of the population.
